I've really liked all of her books

I've really liked all of her books, but not this one. It's super silly, had no real action or suspense, and the couple went from "no we can't" to constant sex. There were zombies. Why? (Admittedly I could have been daydreaming when that problem was rectified.) She's a vampire, he's human, although he is a psychic. Do they live as long as vampires? Hope so, otherwise their relationship is going to be short term.
There were ghost, too. They really didn't do much of anything; not spooky or scary or started any trouble. Very disappointing.

Same book, different names

I have loved the Broken Heart books, but this one wanted to make me scream. It is Housewife For Rent redone. All she did was move it from one small Oklahoma town to Broken Heart and changed some of the characters from wacky small town characters into wacky paranormal small-town characters. A lot of it is just totally verbatim the same. I realize since she wrote both books it's not really plagiarism but damn it's lazy!

A Fantastic Time!

This book was fabulous. This entire series is such a great time and this book is such a great addition. I love how the author incorporates new characters and situations while still keeping old and loved characters in the mix. There are so many parts that did have me laughing out loud. For anyone that is looking for a book to get lost in and forget about life for a while this is definitely a great choice!

About the Author

Donald E. Carlucci has been an engineer at the U.S. Army Armament, Research, Development and Engineering Center, Picatinny Arsenal, since May 1989. He is currently the U.S. Army senior scientist for computational structural modeling based at Picatinny. He holds a doctor of philosophy in mechanical engineering (2002) and a master of engineering (mechanical) (1995) degree from the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey. In 1987, he received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey. Dr. Carlucci is an adjunct professor of mechanical engineering at the Stevens Institute of Technology.

Sidney S. Jacobson was a researcher, designer, and developer of ammunition and weapons at the U.S. Army’s Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey for 35 years. He rose from junior engineer to associate director for R&D at the arsenal. In 1972, he was awarded an Arsenal Educational Fellowship to study continuum mechanics at Princeton University where he received his second MS degree (1974). He earned a master of science in applied mechanics from Stevens Institute of Technology (1958) and a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Brooklyn College (1951). He retired in 1986 but maintains his interest in the field through teaching, consulting, and lecturing.

A complete description of all phases from gun to the target

This discussion concerning how a projectile starts its flight, flies to the target, and does things to the target is rather complete. My expertise is more in terminal ballistics (what happens against steel armor), but I learned a number of things I had not found previously in any other source. The only thing that I would like is a set of tables giving common examples of the values of various quantities used in the formulae, such as the "Hugonoit Elastic Limit" used in the metal armor always-ricochet angle formulae, for example -- a formula cannot be tested if the values necessary to solve it are not available. Tables for chemical parameters are included, but not the needed metallurgical parameters. Alternatively, sources for finding these parameters could be included in the text. Minor point, though.

This is a book on ballistics, it is a book deals with it in math terms not basic concepts. If your are just wanting to learn basics this is not the book for low level learning.

Hot on the heels of the bestseller He's Just Not That Into You comes this funny, forthright response from author and sex therapist Kerner. The author of the sex guide She Comes First and the "dating doctor" for Lifetime TV, Kerner takes up the cause of "Sex and the City" women everywhere, urging ladies to dump the "in-the-meantime" men and raise their standards on the husband hunt. Kerner's book will appeal to the chick lit audience, with his sassy quizzes and blunt language, as when he writes that women settle on a mediocre boyfriend because "they like having their egos and (and lower parts) stroked." How unfortunate, then, that Kern's logic is often so sloppy. Can it really always be true, as he writes, that being married "is harder than being single, even in the best of circumstances" or that "If women were really disposed to have sex like men, they'd be greater consumers of porn and prostitution"? The book equivocates in trying to promote sexual freedom while encouraging emotional responsibility, and all the laugh lines don't quite hide the fact that the entire book's wisdom is essentially contained in the subtitle. A final chapter, written jointly by Kerner and his wife, does stand out for its personality and wit. Here's hoping they team up for a whole book next time. Meanwhile, this one's sure to do brisk business among singletons.

I bought this book for my girlfriend who struggles with the wrong men. As her bestie I try to give advise as to what I see wrong with each guy's behavior and why they run. This little book will help her see the pattern early and realize he's really not for her either!

Wake up and smell your SELF EMPOWERMENT

This book kicks "He's not that into You" firmly in the crotch. Thank the Good Lord that someone finally did.

The first chapters explain why it's a bad idea for women to have casual sex. DUH!!! For me and my friends, this is as true as the sky is blue. Having sex like a man is a myth. I cannot fathom why people are watching "Sex and the City" and believing it. Ian Kerner, the author, explains in scientific terms why it's not likely for women to have sex that is casual as well as enjoyable. He goes into hormones, the way other mammals act, etc. This book suggests that having "sex like a man" is UN-empowering, despite what your local commando feminist might say.

Note to the audience: For those readers who are squeamish about sex and masturbation, the first couple of chapters are going to be uncomfortable. If you're not having sex, this book is probably not useful for you. Also, if you have problems finding a guy, this book is not for you. However, if you find that you are dating guys that you're not that into, this book is for you. Also, if you're a parent and your daughter is going away to college, I'd recommend this book for your daughter. It might keep her away from the frat houses. Believe me, it happens, and it's better for her to get a good whiff of reality before she is out on her own.

The second and third couple of chapters explain why you should not seriously date someone who you're not that into. I don't think that these chapters are as good as the first, but I identify with dating people who I am not that into. It's a waste of time. You know from the very beginning that you're not going to marry them, and spending time by yourself is so much more enjoyable and empowering.

Overall, I think that this book is a four star book, but I am giving it five simply because it kicks some butt.

A Must-Read for Single Women...

I picked up this book yesterday and couldn't put it down. I just wish it had come out sooner -- like when I started my downward spirial of dating guys that I wasn't that into when I graduated from college.

The book is easy-to-read and funny. Forget "The Rules." This book provides useful, non-preachy advice. For some funny reason, I felt like Dr. Kerner was cheering me on from the sidelines. Definitely worth buying. Don't judge this one by the picture on its cover....

Immediately after receiving this "document" I wrote an email complaint to Amazon and asked for a refund of my money. This email was never answered by Amazon!

What I said (this is the short version) alerted Amazon that this publication is not a book; it is nothing more than an undocumented 4 page pamphlet that fails to even reference the origins of what is printed in this pamphlet.

The internet has many references to the Ebionite history and beliefs that are lenghty and detailed. Far better than this pamphlet - and they are free! Earleen H

Awesome and informative!

What can I say? Perry Stone can write a great and informative book, he surprised me, as I don't watch very many Christians who have ministry's on TV. But Perry Stone ranks tops with me (along with Zola Levitt, Joel Rosenberg, Dr. Michael Brown, Jewish Voice with Jonathan Bernis & the show entitled: The Jewish Jesus) and had I not known, I would have thought this guy was a fellow believing Hebrew in Yeshua! He's that good! Also, for any new believer in Christ, you've got to purchase 'Breaking the Jewish Code', as this will help you to better understand your Hebrew roots to your Christian faith, how you can take part in the covenant God made with Abraham, as well as examples of how God has blessed the Hebrew people throughout history!! It's something that is unfortunately simply not taught within mainstream American Christian denominations today and is even looked down upon or shunned. This book is awesome in explaining the Passover meal, what it means and how it can be a blessing in your life!! It's a great read and both these books have been a blessing in my life.

I USE THE PRAYER ON PAGE 133 EVERY MORNING BECAUSE I TAKE COMMUNION EVERY DAY. WHEN I DISCOVERED THIS BOOK IT HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND IT BETTER.
MY PRAYER TIME IS MORE ENRICHED BECAUSE I STUDIED THIS BOOK AND I RECEIVED ALL OF THE BENEFITS OF COMMUNION.

Inspiring Book

Perry Stone and the Dr. have rediscovered one of the bible teachings that has fell away over the years. What a blessing. I would also encourage you to see the DVD that Perry Stone has produced about daily communion. It will change your opinions on communion only once in a while. It should be daily and in prayer with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Enjoy the book and the fruits it will bring.
