About the Author
Jessica Freedman, MD is a former associate residency director and faculty member at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. A top rated faculty member at Mount Sinai, she was involved in medical education and curriculum design at the graduate and undergraduate levels. She is also a published author and has served on national committees related to medical education. Dr. Freedman is now president of MedEdits (www.MedEdits.com), a private advising company for applicants to medical school, residency and fellowship and is a practicing emergency physician.

Great Book for All Those Applying For Residency

I used Dr. Freedman's book to prepare for my residency interviews and I found it to be extremely useful. This book is to the point and doesn’t waste your time. Interviews are most important part of your residency application process and this book will guide you on what you should and should not do during an interview. I used it to prepare for my 2014 Residency Application and I felt very comfortable during my interviews and as of yesterday, I matched.
Dr. Freedman will guide on what questions to expect, ask and how to prepare for them. She has sample Q&A in the appendix with analysis and those were tremendous help. My advice, use them as guide and prepare your responses ahead of time (may be on word document) and review them before you go for your interview. Also, make sure that your responses are in line with your ERAS application and personal statement. Good luck everyone!

waste of money

waste of money. Very common sense stuff. If you are not from the US may be good. But if you have lived here, have done couple of job interviews, went through med school, should pretty much know most of the stuff.

understandable and to the point

This book helps medical students who have close to zero knowledge of what to expect from medical interviews. This book helps bring some sense of security to future interviews to come and what to expect for US and IMG graduates. Also includes some typical interview questions and the basic outline of the interview and what interviewers are expecting of interviewees.
